(I didn't watch the video linked in the authors notes until long after I read the fic and was trying to re-find it, but it's a super cute animated French short with English subtitles.)

     + Basically: England, 1813, and fairies instead of Dixing. Zhao Yunlan comes into his inheritance, thrice. (If you wanted an 80K Regency nonsense AU for this fandom, here it is. It's probably also pretty accessible without any canon knowledge.)

It's an alive Hale family fic, Stiles has been cut off from the supernatural his whole life and then gets plunged into it and used as a pawn, Derek is surly and the whole thing is kind of fandom-takes-on-fairy-tales/magical-realism at its best. Solid long!fic.

I should probably mention that I'm on pillowfort now, and I think they're in their last beta-wave before membership goes with funding, so you might want to sign up for the closed beta now rather than later. I haven't really done anything with it yet but my first impression is basically that it's like tumblr but with journal-style communities.

I did indeed watch Sports Night for the first time this month, after falling into Dan/Casey fic and needing to know why there was a C6D-type crossover. (I was contemplating a The West Wing re-watch, so something else Sorkin seemed like a good, less time-intensive compromise. It was. I like Sorkin's yearning/striving towards a collective dream/ideal.) I didn't know that Joshua Malina was in it and that was super interesting because of the character similarities with The West Wing and also he sparkles in this and kind of steals the show, a bit. It's a sitcom and there are these gender roles and romance things that happen which were sort of bewildering and a little bit dated, I think, which is sort of a nicer reality to be living in, really. Tim DeKay and Clark Gregg both have guest-type roles, and I mourned the loss of the show for the loss of the latter's character, a bit - they were going somewhere with him.

I think that really all I want in a Young Avengers Diner AU is America being snarky and hooking up with Kate. This has that, the other Young Avengers tucked in well, pop culture references, and a lot of Marvel cameos in the form of those names you make up for people when you don't know what they call themselves. It's fun.

This is basically adorable. I love the kind of almost-domesticity that springs up with Eames taking care of Arthur each morning before Arthur's quite pulled himself together, and I love Eames' flirting and Arthur's reaction to it. It's charming.

Fairy tale fantasy crossed over with a bit of foodporn and the mundane. It is glorious, glorious fluff; it's joyous. Kris makes fantastic food and they take on the Wild Hunt. There's a pillow fort.
