NCIS

I get the impression that NCIS kind of ate both our brains at about the same time and also that [personal profile] readbystarlight has read more fic than I have, but, you know, I went and internet stalked [personal profile] readbystarlight a little, so hopefully most of these will be new for you, [personal profile] readbystarlight.

The Clapping Song by [personal profile] lithiumdoll
One of the things that I love about NCIS is how very in each others’ space and how far from standard workplace-appropriate touching they all are. Team is family in NCIS, childish squabbles and all; it’s awesome. That’s what this vid is, and it’s bouncy and happy and fun.

This Never Happens in the J. Edgar Hoover Building by [livejournal.com profile] kageygirl
Rating: PG
It’s an incredibly cute little ficlet about people routinely getting stuck in the elevator. Everyone’s kind of hilariously in character and it’s a lot of fun.

The Thrill of the Chase by [livejournal.com profile] crimsonquills

It’s an AU in which Gibbs is a cabbie and Tony’s the guy who slides into his backseat one day and demands that he "follow that car."

Three Ways We Never Met by [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade
Rating: NC-17
It’s three AUs of how Gibbs and Tony meet. They’ve all got pretty different tones and are each something I wouldn’t mind seeing the rest of the universe for.

Ready or Not by [livejournal.com profile] wistful_fever
It’s a McGee/DiNozzo vid and it’s quiet and pretty and a little angsty. They have a really fun dynamic in the show that’s pretty slashable, so there’s all of that in this along with DiNozzo’s need for attention. Tony is the moth to McGee’s flame here, and some of the faces are amazing. I love Ducky’s reactions to the pair in the context of the narrative of the vid.

Be Somebody by [livejournal.com profile] tearful_eye
It’s a Tony-centric vid and it’s all hurt and loneliness. It’s all closing doors and rejection and how he desperately wants to be loved; "I’m never on your list." The only one he’s getting affection and comfort from, freely given, is Abby, who’s almost something like a viewer stand-in in this, because I’m not sure that it’s possible to watch this and not think he needs a hug, and Abby gives him that, and things are just a tiny bit better for it. It’s sad and powerful.

This is set at the beginning of season four and is, much like the previous two vids, quiet and angsty and sad. There is, though, in the sequel, world-building and a fix-it of sorts, if you need it.
