There is a Sailor Moon Dress-Up Game. It is awesome and gets better in how completely and ridiculously customisable everything is. I have spent far too much time being amused by this and have dubbed mine "Sailor Cruithne" because it brings me a strange joy.

Unhappy Hipsters is a series of re-captioned photos from a residential architecture and design magazine. They remind me strongly of A Softer World and are pretty damn snicker-worthy with that modern design mag context.

Poker Face, as performed by college a capella group, Noteworthy. The choreography in this is amazing and continues to fill me with glee. It's fabulous.

Adam Lambert's Whataya Want From Me. It is almost as good as What About Us? by John Barrowman. ...no, that is a dirty lie. It has the same sort of tone in a few ways but is, artistically speaking, superior. It's cute and it makes me smile. It is also possibly better if you know that Lambert does not play the guitar. (I have fallen just far enough into this fandom to have developed a theory about this vid.)

"They say of the Acropolis where the Parthenon is" is a bit from QI - a trivia show that Stephen Fry hosts - that feeds quite nicely into my love of watching guests rebel good-naturedly against their host. It is musical.

Star Trek and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, in one gif. (Specific NMTB stuff is here if you're interested.)

Doctor Who Pic Spam of The End of Time: Part Two by [livejournal.com profile] marah_sarie that is a gloriously slash-goggled viewing of the episode with some nice Old Who references, interesting speculation and appreciation of John Simm. There's also judicious use of capslock.

BBC One has posted a Series 5 Preview for Doctor Who, and it is awesome and I'm excited about the new wardrobe in a way I wasn't before. It's so texture-y and I think I'm falling in love with the suspenders. (I am already in love with the tweed.) It took me a couple run-throughs before I recognised the tie as Tennant's and went, "Is he wearing Tennant's tie? He totally is. ...is it from the last episode? It is." So, watching that through and picking out the bits that are from the first episode, I'm thinking that there's going to be squeeing going on. I love watching newly regenerated Doctors run around in their old self's clothing. I'm also kinda excited for the Stone Angels again, because there needs to be a recurring villain that is not the Daleks or the Cybermen. ...also: the Doctor smashes a Dalek with something? (There is no way I am the only one thinking of Ace here.) It looks like he's going to be a very physical Doctor, like Tennant. (Well, like Tennant in general, really, but yeah.) In conclusion: I am excited. Is it spring yet?

Whee, these look like they will be fun to go through! And you were right - the dress-up game is unreasonably detailed and distracted me for a good fifteen minutes. Time to go to class now!

Unhappy Hipsters is pretty funny but makes me sad.

I have mixed feelings about the music video. On one hand, it really, really annoys me because there's a lot of vapid staring about, and it's not Barrowman so I have a hard time justifying that. It is 'artistically superior', but that's what bothers me about it - I find it overly artsy.

On the other hand, the music is a little bit similar to (don't hate me) Taylor Swift's - it is most definitely POP, but in a confident way and one that works and I actually think is pretty good. So - unlike Barrowman's shudder-worthy rhyming skills, it is not so easy to laugh because I'm drawn into the music.

By the by, I believe that if you started a tag for all posts (or comments, if you could do that) where you mention John Barrowman, or even more specifically 'What About Us?', you'd already outnumber some of the current ones in your sidebar. Just a thought.

Hooray, you caught the apostrophe! Although while you are at it, you may wish to add an 'of' before subtlety. :P

There is an explanation for excessive commenting today, I swear...

...although I wish I knew what it was. It's connected to the fact that this will likely be my second all-nighter this week, I'm sure of it.
