How long has George been my boyfriend?
Jan. 28th, 2009 06:20 pmI have to say, I'm kinda embarassed to be asking this, but I just don't know. (George Stroumboulopoulis hosts The Hour on CBC.)
I love this whole archiving business that exists now. Michael Ignatieff did an interview on The Hour a bit over a week after he became the liberal leader: Part I, Part II
Speaking of archiving: Heritage Minutes exist online. This is awesome. I'm not sure I can describe them in a way that does them justice. The Wikipedia entry uses a rather nice phrase in criticism: "solemn pomposity".
The Wilder Penfield one is probably the most famous. ("I smell burnt toast.") The one about Marshall McLuhan is hilarious. (Admittedly, this is an adjective that can be accurately applied to a great many of them.) I've got a soft spot for some of the literary ones, personally. I like the one about Winnie the Pooh. It warms the cockles of my heart. Or Something.
I have a question, though - another question - what's your favorite Heritage Minute?
