I kind of have a soft spot about a mile wide for Flight of the Conchords, which is, yes, totally justified, especially in light of this. It's a song about what friends are, and some of it is very, very familiar. (This is to say that you are all required to watch this and it will become very clear why.) It's both endearing and amusing.

This is completely charming, and does a very good job of showing the beautiful, touching, and very moving friendships that make the show such a joy to watch. dualbunny has a very nice description of it: "Like Friends only drunker. And smokier. And meaner. With jam. And bees." There's a lot of love and amusement to be found in this.

Gilmore Girls
Much of the premise of Gilmore Girls is this: there is a mother and daughter, they are smart, witty, and best friends forever - that's what this vid is, the BFFs part, and it captures that perfectly. It makes me smile quietly to myself.

Yeah, I was very amused by the us-ness of some of it. ...and yes, unexpected popping is unexpected.

Darn it! You knew exactly what you were doing when you put this up. This has actually managed to surpass the last song stuck in my head, and all day today I wandered around singing the song, but the only chunk I know is the bit from jogging the track to grabbing a snack.

Then I come home and I want to watch it some more.

Yes, but think how I feel, wandering around and then realizing I've been muttering 'Friends do not let friends do crack' under my breath for the last ten minutes! Also: first thing that popped in my head when I woke up this morning. Gah!

If it makes you feel better: I was wandering around with "scrape you up and reconstruct you" - skipping the next line and going on to "If you get murdered I'll avenge your death" - and repeating.

I believe I will find some way to forgive you.
