Remus reads Shakespeare in his spare time. He seems to worry at the thin little volumes that he finds in the muggle section of the library, slowly digesting things, turning them over and around, internally and out, until he’s satisfied that he’s wrung every possible nuance from each phrase and word before he moves on to the next.

Sirius thinks that Moony must have the complete works memorised, line for line, because he knows that he does, without ever having read them.

Mad-Eye tells him, after Azkaban, that he mumbles them in his sleep. “Just the tragedies, though,” he says.
