Postcard Campaign

Okay. So do any of you people remember the postcards to David Hewlett? Martin Freeman.

"Basically, the idea is this: A bunch of fans from around the world all send postcards to Martin Freeman to arrive at roughly the same time, with the same message, as a way of expressing how impressed we are with him and his acting and his face."

The message runs as follows:

Dear Mr. Freeman,

ALL THE BAFTAS, SIR.
ALL OF THEM.

Very sincerely yours,
[insert name here]

(Have I mentioned how much I love little big things like this? ...and now I have to go watch that last episode, because I have not seen it yet and one does not trifle with imaginary BAFTAs*.)

*I haven't quite decided whether or not I'm doing this yet. (Woo me, Freeman.)

ooh watch the last episode, I really enjoyed it! Moriarty is amazing and so is John! Not perfect but still highly enjoyable :)

The campaign sounds interesting. I like the message myself (his acting and his face, mhaha), I wasn't aware of the David Hewlett one (though that sounds amazing).

I'm intrigued, though I'm not sure if I will participate it looks fun! (He's going to get a shit ton of post cards, am very amused)

I might be hiding from the last episode. I mean, I know what happens. I am aware of the episode title. The major plot points, like the Baskerville episode, are a little fixed. I am not actually avoiding it because of episode content. I am down with the thing that happens that everyone knows about. (Does it count as a spoiler if it's fanfic for something published that long ago?)

I have poured hot water on my knee. It is fine. I have lost my train of thought, though.

I have not seen the last episode yet, but have been *highly* amused by the other two. The title didn't twig anything for me, which means I haven't read the original so am not sure what to expect and now you two are worrying me...

I am not-so-secretly hoping he gets such a shit ton of postcards that it gets mentioned in interviews and special features on the Sherlock DVD.

Yeah, it's based off of a mailing campaign? Like one would do for politicians? ...but it's definitely interesting in terms of the mechanics of that interaction? I like it.

I'm excited you're doing it. (Can you show me the card before you send it, or is it too late?) I have not seen the third episode yet and am glad that I did not spoil you. Thoughtless spoilers are a thing.

It seems likely that there will be a response at some point.
