Fic Exchange, Song, Organisation
Jun. 9th, 2012 11:37 pm1) I signed up for the St. Trinian's Fic Exchange (2012) today. (Signups close June 15th.) I'm excited, if slightly confused to be signing up for a fic exchange that isn't yuletide. I haven't done any other exchange before and it feels very odd that it is not November and that I know what fandom I'm writing for. St. Trinian's! It should be good.
2) I found a song about a week and a half ago. It is kind of great. You may be interested in it if you like songs about Canadian cities, feelings, French accents, or Hockey RPF. The song is Winnipeg by Julien Doré. Julien Doré has this really great French accent and kind of texture-y voice; I am not so great at describing it but I find it very enjoyable. It's a really light and happy song. I think the 50 second intro a little excessive, but the song is really delightful, nonetheless. He wants to go to Winnipeg with you! It is great. I have been reading enough Hockey RPF to have decided that this song is, like, Patrick Kane's declaration of love for Jonathan Toews that he makes Johnny listen to, significantly. He wants to go to Winnipeg with him. If that is not love, well. Also: it is sung by a guy with a French accent. He is, like, being supportive of Johnny's culture. That is totally a thing. <3 :)
(It makes me happy.)
3) I am just over halfway through organising my bookmarks. I have a couple thousand and I've never been all the way through tagging things like I'm trying to do now, so it feels significant. It's also my first time changing my tagging system and long overdue, so it's good, if time-consuming, and I have all of these new tags now.
