Asking for Audio Recs

So, I tend to be very bad at listening to things with words; I'll start reading something and zone out from what I'm listening to a lot of the time. Basically there are a couple very specific sets of conditions I can actually listen to things like that in and I tend to forget what they are. There was an incident earlier this year where I had to ice my face for a day and listened to a lot of podfic and I have started remembering, basically, how to listen to things and doing that, so: do people have recs?

Any recs would be appreciated. I'm especially interested in podcast-type recs. I'm interested in having something to listen to that's neighbour-friendly in case the noise travels when I'm not wearing headphones and having something that comes out regularly seems like a good idea for chores. What do you listen to? Do you have any French or English recs?

I am the same way, except for that 1 day every three months where my period gives me a migraine and I am pathetically scrambling for podfic and mostly failing.

Um, so I don't really know about many podcasts, but I know that there is slashreport, which I listened to an episode of a while ago and really enjoyed. The people were really delightful, but the subject matter might make it not neighbour-friendly...

Oh, that sounds unpleasant.

slashreport is actually something I've been listening to, mostly while doing stuff like sorting out my bookmarks. I find I can skim stuff and listen to it - it's nice, though not something I'd classify as particularly neighbour-friendly, no. :)

I don't listen to much podfic and stuff, but the only possible neighbours friendly one I can think of (and it might be questionable) is rageprufrock's version of Bang!, which is one of those that I'll re-read/listen to. I liked the podfic because first, she's reading it herself, and I love her Mckay and Sheppard.
Not so neighbor friendly but I was listen to a podfic when I drove down this summer and I did a search for material, ended up listening to Ready, Fire, Aim read by reena_jenkins

Mm. Bang!'s NC-17, which is... not what I am going for for neighbour-friendly. Author-reads are always really interesting, though - like getting another layer of intent from the same source.
