And a Roost for Every Bird by

Summary: The thing about London, John had quickly realised, was that it was a city. Kind of obvious, yeah, and it wasn't like he'd never been in a city before
Stargate: Atlantis | Rating: G | 10,854 words | McKay/Sheppard
I've been in love with this fic for years. It's the one where John gets lost in London and finds Rodney and it is the most wonderful thing ever. As
Siria writes, it's very loosely based off of a 90s romcom; it takes the basic setup and moulds it so it fits John and Rodney. The characterisation's great. It's fun and comforting and the title is perfect. It's about finding love and there's snark and domesticity and baby food.

Summary: Harry Dresden has no idea what he's getting into when he decides to save two little girls who live in a house that belongs to Gentleman Johnny Marcone.
The Dresden Files | Rating: G | 5,163 words | Harry Dresden
This is a kind of trouser pants AU and I fell for it hard. The alternate meeetings in here are interesting and clever and kind of sad and funny. This fic makes me smile. I love all of the relationship dynamics happening here - the relationship the kids have with each other, that they have with Marcone, that they forge with Harry, and the one we see forming between Harry and John. This fic is funny, clever, and involves some nice diversity. A joy.
Chris, Nicky and the Nanny by

Summary: Chris hires a hipster manny for his son Nicky.
Star Trek Reboot: RPF | Rating: PG-13 | ableist language: "lame" | 24,080 words | Chris/Zach
The dialogue in this is great and I fell in love with the OCs. Nicky is a well-written delight and so are the women in his life. There's snark and pining - so much pining from Pine: it's beautiful. (I love it when people take a long time to get together.) And there's scheming and good-natured meddling and domesticity and undignified injuries. It's a romp from start to finish.
