I've been slowly clearing out my published future-dated private entry drafts over the past, er- while. When the month rolled around with this entry at this date it felt like its number had come up, and not like it needed re-dating like the last however many times. So: accomplishment.

I think this art is why this rec set exists. It's beautiful - ink work over a colour-gradient like twilight coming out and studded with stars, a spaceship in the back and a single splash of other colour in the Pendragon emblem, Merlin and Arthur's eyes locked on each others. It feels quiet and full of magic. It's compelling. I've spent a fair amount of time thinking of that moment it captures and the possible implications of the colouring choices. It's one of my favourite AUs.

OT3 vid of my heart. This was probably the first OT3 vid I ever saw and it's gorgeous, full of light and lens flare and yearning and ship feels and adventure and all possible character subsets. It's them wrapped in the Enterprise, and I didn't ship it until I saw this vid and it did that thing that the best shippy songvids do where it reaches into your chest and claws out your feelings and you're taken in by this luminous thesis of their love, clutching at the lyrics like they're the cord of an AED and that's somehow going to help you and grasping desperately at terrible overblown metaphors* and then forever after whenever you hear that song it is this vid.

*clearly I brought my own; this isn't a lord king bad vid, it just inspires that same genre of desperate feeling within me

This is so soft - the lines in this, and the lettering on the Arby's sign and how comfortable Carlos and Cecil look. I love the cactus and the lights and the sky and the effect that zooming in has. It feels like a roadtrip, that sense of adventure that the foreign mundane brings, and like they're in love.

Slick and creepy. This uses its music like a horror film and it makes my skin crawl. Delicate and beautiful and full of teeth. The whole vid makes my heart hurt and the ending is devastating. This felt like water, after the first film came out, seeing it edited into this thing that felt true.

How becoming a slayer turns you into a sacrificial lamb and robs you of the last of your childhood and fills your world with death and traps you, but you're not alone and you can fight back. Haunting and full of imagery, this vid is probably going to make you cry.

I love how subdued the colours are and how still Stiles and Kira feel - that sky and field and the suggestion of it being this quiet moment, and they still have their weapons in hand, juice boxes in another. It's a great contrast and they feel very like themselves with that and posture and colours and expressions that fit characterisation; it feels inhabited and right.
