“…said he missed doing the crossword.”

I had this thought earlier: Sirius wan't the sort who'd really study for tests. He owned an illegal motorbike and was amazingly young when he got locked up, and he missed doing the crossword? Remus, maybe, but Sirius, Sirus - He missed Moony! He missed doing the crossword = he missed Moony!
I wrote it down and then wrote this just now. I'd love to see what other people'd do with the idea or have done. I'm not entirely sure if I like what I wrote just now and might pull the idea out again later, who knows?

Sun bleeds in through dingy windows, streaks across the beaten hardwood and falls on the two men sprawled there. Heads bent over creased newsprint shimmer with it, unimagined strands of red in unassuming brown hair like multifaceted crystal, and onyx set with it. The darker head inclines, slowly, to the right, to watch the other man, knowing that at any moment the side of his mouth might quirk up in quiet triumph, that eyes full of life might look for his, and that he could miss it, thinking of a five letter word for “perfect fish on a line” instead.
