It's the Kirk/McCoy Dollhouse AU, and oh, it is brilliant and hard edged - and so much more interesting in many ways than the Dollhouse episodes I've seen so far. There's darkness in it, and truth. It's well-crafted and fascinating.

There's the evolution of Jim Kirk in here to Captain, about how he and his relationships change. I love this fic for it's strong female characters, and there's a lot of awesomeness and grace in the characters fleshed out in this. It's a little bit grandiose, and fun for that. (Kirk/McCoy)
Lunch and Other Obscenities byrheanna27

There's some absolutely glorious fanart that has been made for this story, and it's amusing to boot, but doesn't make all that much sense without reading the story; I think that's a mark of something really good, that there's enough detail and originality in the story that the artwork (a mark itself) has that ability to confound. Nyota Uhura is the central character in this and it's largely about her relationship with Gaila. Spock's here too, and there's some really fascinating exploration of cultures and cross-cultural interaction in this. It is also delightfully amusing - an all-around joy to read.

This is fun and adorable. The story was written as a result of the prompter's musings on the dynamic and character(s) of Spock's parents, and a lovely quirk of the mind that turned this into something very 1950s. There are a few great nods in that direction in the fic and it reads something like a sublime romantic comedy. It's about how they met.
Reading Against/Reading With: Mastering the Oppositional Discourse in Textual Healing byemeraldwoman

This is smutty and hilarious. It's, um, porn, and literary criticism. I find literary criticism a source of great fun and amusement on it's own, so this is something that resulted in a lot of sniggering and snorting and assorted guffawing.
Star Trek Parody bysarahtales
There are lines in this that were popping into my head weeks after reading this, lines which I felt the need to share with other people, regardless of their lack of context. This is a thing of massive joy. I am told that it does well delivered by means of dramatic reading. (Interestingly, there is also some reference made to literary analysis in here.)
