Woot!! CBC (the only internets I get at work) actually put together a timeline of same sex marriage, which was pretty exciting to read, although it really showed the divides when various State laws popped up. (It's still illegal to be gay in some States apparently... may have misinterpreted that one, I hope.)
It's generally "homosexual acts" that are illegal, rather than thoughtcrime, I think, but yeah, pretty sure you're not misinterpreting that one. (Sometimes the phrasing of the law is kind of hilarious and unfortunate in a Texan sort of way.)
