such_heights is running a Female Character Trope Fest again this year. Fanworks about female characters! Gen! Femslash! Tropes! (Excitement!)
The
prompt post is open right now and the fill post is set to go up on May 2nd.
I'm planning on heading over there in a day or so and leaving a couple of prompts, just as soon as I decide what I want those to be. I'm thinking about
soulbonding or
robots or a
coffee shop AU and
Bomb Girls and
Bandom and
St. Trinian's. *bounce* I am also planning on posting a fill this year. (I have ambitions.)
You should check it out; it's a lot of fun.
fem_thoughts is running
The 3rd Annual Femslash Mini Meta Fest, which seems to basically be a very low key meta fest where you can meta as little or as much as you like. There are already prompts up and discussion in the comments, including some recs. You should check it out if you're interested in meta and/or femslash.

Date: 2012-04-27 11:37 pm (UTC)But Soulbonding, robots and coffee shop AU's are always good ideas :) always.
But sounds very fun! I could use more awesome female characters.

Date: 2012-04-27 11:47 pm (UTC)I actually haven't been reading a lot of Pepper fic recently - more Darcy and Natasha for whatever reason. Do you have recs?

Date: 2012-04-30 05:17 pm (UTC)aside, I see you've added zombies to your prompt list. I approve :)

Date: 2012-04-30 05:26 pm (UTC)I do not even like zombies that much as baddies go. Maybe because I am not that into zombie movies? They are kind of Dalek-like, though, in that they are a very widely accepted Yes, it is very tragic that you have to go on a killing rampage, but it is a thing that has to be done. foe. They just seem like a good idea because of that, I think.

Date: 2012-04-30 05:35 pm (UTC)I suppose yes, as far as antagonist motivation zombies and daleks are both going to try to destroy you as that is their nature, but I feel like daleks are more the "we must be epically brave and clever to defeat you" story whereas zombies are the "survive by the seat of our pants" story. both can be mindless hordes to a certain extent tho...

Date: 2012-04-28 09:42 am (UTC)And OMG don't tease me with Bomb Girls soulbonding and then not follow through! ... How awkward would it be if I asked you to prompt that? I am totes plot-bunnied now /o\

Date: 2012-04-28 11:45 am (UTC)I had not actually been thinking of Bomb Girls with soulbonding, but I am very much down with prompting that. [It means that I will be prompting more soulbonding; I like soulbonding prompts. (Ask me how.)]
Plot bunnies are exciting! What is this /o\-ness?
ETA: prompted, Bomb Girls soulbonding included

Date: 2012-04-29 10:49 am (UTC)OMG me neither, but then you just putting those words in close proximity made me all *__* (Actually, soulbonding is not something I am overly familiar with, so I am probably going to have to research just a little...)
Plot bunnies ARE exciting, actually! I have been so uninspired basically since Yuletide, so it's good to have exciting prompts!

Date: 2012-04-29 11:15 am (UTC)Soulbonding is a trope I'm really familiar with if you want any kind of info or research assistance. (I have read a lot of soulbonding fic; it's a thing.)
Plot bunnies are really weird that way - in their comings and goings. I'm glad that there are exciting things now, though!
