student/robot elections

So, it's election season at the university. (Appointments for other positions are happening now, which I must say, I am a bit curious about - those are the ones more likely to have an impact on me.) I tend to watch it all with a level of interest that's just a bit lower than what I give the political ones. Bits of their platforms tend to be absolutely hysterical, mostly in that they're such child's promises - a really stupid, greedy child.

Of course, along with all of that there's the traditional joke candidate whose sole purpose is to make things more interesting. The University of Alberta had an awesome one run last year for VP external, a decepticon from the planet Cybertron - Soundwave!
