     + Footage from the Birds of Prey film. All of the messiness of being human and trying to sort everything out, with violence and sparkles and friendship. The song choice for this vid is pretty magic: k.d. lang is a great tonal fit for this Harley Quinn, and the lyrics and cadence shine through. It's gloriously cinematic.

     + This made me cry. The Fall is a gorgeous film and then this is: like, all of its punches, dialogue included. Dramatic and lovely.

     +I really love the ambition of this vid, and how Bach is used to highlight the grandiose nature of the plan, of the Christian mythos, and serve as a contrast to the tone of the book and miniseries. It's a clever distillation of the work focused on the two main religious characters, with some fantastic tongue-in-cheek.

     +So there's a live action TV adaptation of this that exists now that's the source for this vid. It's great. I only know Hikaru no Go through being a person who has existed in fandom for a number of years and my knowledge is patchy, but this vid fills me with delight. It is the story of estranged childhood friends/rivals(?) to lovers, and it's sweet and adorable and full of tension and light.

     +I don't know this source, didn't know this song, and have very little German. None of this stopped this from becoming one of my favourite vids this winter. (Turn on the subtitles and watch this vid.) There is something incredibly satisfying to me about the lyrics "I'm a daisy in the sunshine and through my petals the sun is flowing into me" paired with scenes of frustration and resignation and happiness.

(On the content warning front: mind the "suicidal thoughts" tag; it goes a bit beyond that.)
