Hamlet
This is a vid for the recent production of Hamlet that David Tennant was in. (It’s modernised and it looks really neat, but I haven’t seen it yet.) The vid is something like Hamlet in four minutes and it’s edgy and incredibly cool. It’s Hamlet’s angst and his mommy issues; it’s fascinating and gorgeous and so neat - I don’t really think that I can stress that last bit enough.

The Fall
It’s bright and colourful and there’s so much action in this. I love the pacing of this vid. It’s about storytelling and who and what controls the narrative. There’s a lot of death in this and the contrast between that and the song and how colour-saturated all of this feels is really interesting. It is shiny.

True Blood
I actually am familiar with True Blood, but haven’t seen that much of the series. There’s some really awesome use of the show’s intro sequence in this and it’s set to an incredibly groovy song. It’s a lot of fun. It’s also about vampires, and so sex and death and blood. Bill’s the vampire who wants to be human, and I love how this vid addresses that.

Princess Tutu and Revolutionary Girl Utena
I seriously have no idea what's going on here, but it's pretty and shiny and I think there might be strong women characters in the source material. There are, at any rate, women, which is more exciting than it should be. There’s once upon a time and whimsy in this vid and I am shipping some of these people so hard, considering. It’s cute and bouncy and female-centric.
